Rustic Steel Creations is proud to announce the launch of a creative welding school called "Rustic Steel Academy". While traditional welding courses can be found in the Tampa area, what we offer is a truly unique experience. At the Academy we focus on brining out the creativity in each student while teaching the fundamentals of welding in a project based learning model.

Creative welding 101

This beginner friendly course is an introduction to MIG or Metal Inert Gas welding. Here at Rustic Steel Academy we are focused on safety and creativity. All students will leave this 4 hour session with a handmade piece of art straight from their own imagination.

Rustic Steel Academy will provide the equipment and raw materials needed to bring your ideas to life. You will learn how to safely use a variety of metal fabricating tools at your own individual work station. We are committed to keeping class sizes small so you will have access to one on one instruction.

Classes are on Saturday mornings from 9am - 1pm.

We are currently offering 2 class types at the following rates:

  • $275 per student for a four hour introduction to MIG Creative Welding. You can also buy a 3 class package at a discounted rate of $675.
  • $325 per student for a four hour introduction to TIG Creative Welding. You can also buy a 3 class package at a discounted rate of $825.

FAQ

  • Do I need to have any previous experience with welding? - No experience necessary. Our classes are beginner friendly and you will start with the fundamentals.
  • Is there a minimum age requirement? -We offer classes for all ages but require students to be at least 10 years old with parental consent.
  • Do I need to bring anything with me to class? - For safety we ask that you wear closed toe shoes, long sleeve cotton shirt, and long pants. We will provide drinking water, but you should bring your own container. We also ask that you bring your own leather gloves which we will provide more information on when you register.
  • What is the maximum class size? -We are currently offering classes that accommodate up to 5 students per session.
